[the package is delivered to the family that julia is staying with; they promise to put it in her room, so she's able to see it when she gets back. it's definitely big enough to pique the curiosity of the recipient as to open it as soon as possible, in any case. inside, an amount of homemade goods have been stacked atop each other: teas, soaps, and moisturizing lotions. these should be very familiar, as they are often seen around the treehouse.

something else lies wrapped, though, and once opened, it'll reveal itself to be a scarf, the chosen pattern perhaps a nod to the renewal aspects of old god endeavors.

Our Herald may have been hiding in plain sight all along. As Umber, the Drowning Maiden who filled in on that float last minute.

Oh shit. That would make sense, since she just flat out disappeared afterward. A trickster god could do that with no problem. Well ... any god could. What was his goal? He must have liked the drama.

Unclear. Sharing this outward might result in some potential motives, although this is all speculation.

People were speculating that he was in the artifact, and it would be logical that the Singularity is reacting to someone who isn't usually there, but that sounds like he might've been planning WITH Marcellus. Which a god could easily do from inside an artifact. Maybe he was orchestrating his own escape.

I was one of the people who thought he was bound to the artifact. It made more sense learning he was a herald - there were three that presented the last time. Being locked into the latchkeys would have made sense but now--

--the escape makes the most sense. Marcellus had motive and access to the vaults. I can see how it might have been easy to manipulate him.

I think it's at least time to let others discuss among themselves.

There's a Summoned library in the Horizon, and I read in there that there were Summonings thousands of years ago, and that it was speculated that the Cardinal Gods ("New Gods") were them. And Umbvagher is a Cardinal.

I think that's what he was trying to tell us. That all this happened before.
