Julia's backstory has some heavy trigger warnings that could come up within RP. This includes rape, physical abuse, pregnancy by rape, abortion, mental illness/depression, grief over mass death, and a whole lot of gruesome violence surrounding this period of her life. Her current situation with her god powers connects directly to this situation so it is a personal struggle. She is not someone to trauma dump on people out of no where, so this is something that will likely come up with close CR/people she's bonded with over time. This also makes sex in general a very complicated topic for Julia with trauma she is not healed from at this juncture. There are a few things that can trigger her, which I will ask people in advance about: being manhandled or touched aggressively by a man, her personal space being violated, being trapped, being possessed, and pushed physical intimacy even when kindly meant. She's also healed someone from ODing on drugs and cured blindness. Here is an exact summary of what happened to her.

Claire has also been raped, more than once. Her husband was raped too, so she can deal with hearing that and be an ear, comfort, someone who can just say 'I genuinely understand what happened to you.' (not magically but) Obviously, it isn't something one just SAYS, so I'd love to build up CR, as mentioned on the meme <3 If there's visible PTSD, Claire might be able to recognize, both from experience and being a physician.

Teddy's fine to tag with this (both narratively -- I survived the show! -- and in dialogue: Teddy won't be triggered by hearing these things, nor will they judge or pity, if the CR gets that far).

Teds is very careful with asking about even platonic/casual touch. (They have some secrets from me still, so I don't know if this is just like. Excellent praxis, lol, or if they had someone close to them who needed that.)

You didn't mention this but just ftr: Teddy has witnessed someone die via overdose, and it's still a point of trauma for them that they completely unwarrantedly, but feelings are feelings hold a lot of guilt about. This ....depending on the situation could be a thing they do feel like mentioning to someone who gets it (or just to someone they think will be a good listener and...surprise! gets it better than they expected) but randomly hearing about Kady almost dying could be really upsetting. I don't feel like that's a thing Julia would just bring up, but. Because I know it's canon I figured I'd mention it.

SUMMARY OF JULIA'S EXPERIENCE/TRAUMA

Julia and her coven decided to summon a goddess, who they thought was Persephone. She started a relationship with the head of the group Richard, who she was starting to fall for. There was a gap in her memory where she thought everyone got what they wanted, but the god Ember forced her memories back. She had begged Marina (a witch she had issues with) to wipe her memory.

What actually happened is that Persephone's son Reynard was posing as her (he wants his mother's attention after she disappeared) to keep torturing and murdering her followers. He killed Richard and possessed his body, and then he raped Julia brutally while wearing his face. She protected Kady and chose to get in his way rather than run.

She found out later she was pregnant by him and was frantically trying to find a way to abort the divine baby. She worked with the Beast, a villain, to use him to get to Reynard. She tried to trap him by using Marina, but it didn't work and Marina was murdered by him. She managed to abort the child but in doing so they had to rip out her Shade, her moral center. Julia continued on a revenge path to try and kill Reynard. While she and Quentin went to the underworld to find her Shade, they found Alice's Shade, and Julia chose to bring her back instead of her own. During this time Julia did many destructive things without her Shade.

Reynard's son, also having been born of rape by his mother, asked Kady to kill him to get his demigod power, saying he didn't want to hurt Julia anymore than she was already broken. They managed to create a god-bullet. When she went to murder Reynard, time froze and Persephone appeared. She begged Julia to spare her son's life and despite having no Shade and reasons for him to die, Julia agreed to do it.

After this act, Persephone chose to take her son's god power and bestow it upon Julia. This allowed her to use magic when everyone else lost magic because she didn't pull from the Wellspring anymore. During the keys quest, Julia found out that her magical power was a "Seed" from Reynard and she told Persephone she didn't want anything of his. She and Alice decided to try and swap her power, but it didn't work.

Julia was able to confront Reynard during this time and saw that he'd become pathetic and powerless. She let him live again to continue to exist miserably. Julia started to do good, including saving the magical forest in Fillory that she originally burned down without her Shade. Her continued good actions meant that the "Seed" Persephone gave her blossomed and she became a goddess.

Considering her powers come from Reynard, even if she's come to embrace them, means that she will continue to struggle with that. Persephone forcing it on her was another loss of consent that upsets her, and the fact that she never got to choose and now is an immortal ageless being with no training. She is not healed in any way from the trauma she went through, although she has hope that someday she will.

Julia also has background with an emotionally and mentally abusive mother who committed her father when he stepped out of line and threatened to do the same to her. So that's not great either.
