HORIZON DOMAIN

The Outside

Julia's domain is basically a fancy treehouse that she designed to combine places from home that combines with her Our Lady of the Tree motif. It is surrounded by a little bit of water and has tree leaves on the top. The front door is open if people want to go in, but the second floor is personal space and based on her own home apartment. The downstairs is based on the Physical Kids house and more communal. It's not visible here, but there is a staircase from the bottom into the domain so people can visit. Image found here.

SECOND FLOOR

Personal Living Room

Julia's second floor is less communal space and more for her to relax with her closer friends in Abraxas. Julia's living room is comfortable and modern with nice colors of white, various blue shades, and violets. She has a turquoise couch that extends to fit people who want to sit or lounge, and there are many plants around the room. She has several large bookshelves and stacked books on the table too. It is very lived in and feels like a real space as it is based on a real place.

FIRST FLOOR

Physical Kids Living Room

While Julia herself never lived in Brakebills, outside of briefly hiding there while her Shade was gone, she knows that in 39 other lives she was one of the gang. So she made a version of their living room as a more common area space on the first floor when people walk into the treehouse. It has comfortable couches and chairs to snuggle into, a roaring fireplace, and a wide assortment of liquors decoratively displayed in the middle. This ranges from upfront liquor like vodka and whiskey, to special brews done by the Physical Kids that have a bit of magic to them. It's colorful and the windows overlook the Horizon. There is a painting replicating the Fillory map that Julia and Quentin made as children.

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom

Julia's bedroom is fairly simple and it is permanently locked to anyone on the outside. Only she can go in and out or invite people inside, and she rarely does. This is where she starts when she comes into the Horizon so she can balance herself before going through the rest of it. It has a big fluffy and comfortable bed and wardrobe to the side, and there are a lot of pictures of her friends scattered all over the walls. Specifically Quentin and Kady, but some of the others do show up.

PETS

Hudson

After visiting the Nether and enjoying her time with the hatchlings there, Julia decided to make a Horizon hatchling of her own. She didn't want to copy the ones who actually existed so she came up with it on her own. She based her hatchling on the Hudson River Dragon and named her 'Hudson' simply. The river dragon helped Julia get to the underworld when she needed to find her Shade and it made her warm toward the creature, even if she did threaten to eat them.

Hudson the Horizon dragon is a sweet creature with a little bit of mischief and sass. She will fly over to greet anyone who comes in and circle them enthusiastically. Julia may be more reserved but Hudson is not. She may sit on their head or shoulder and chew their hair or shirt. Photo gotten here .
